Good vision is crucial for a child's development and learning. Our pediatric eye care services are designed to detect and address vision problems early, ensuring your child has the best possible start in life and succeeds in school.
It's recommended that infants have their first comprehensive eye exam between 6 and 12 months of age. Subsequent exams are typically advised around age 3, and then annually once they start school, or as recommended by their eye care provider.
Signs of vision problems in children can include squinting, frequent eye rubbing, difficulty concentrating, holding objects very close, or complaints of headaches. If you notice any of these, an eye exam is recommended.
